JM de Guzman and Cindy Miranda talked about the theme of their new movie
Actor JM de Guzman and actress Cindy Miranda admitted that there was a point in their lives when they became “naadik sa pag-ibig.”
JM and Cindy are the lead stars in the movie Adik Sa ‘Yo. During the press conference for their new movie, they were asked if there was a time when they also became addicted to love, based on the article in GMA Entertainment.
The actor admitted that he has a lot of experience with this in real life because there was a phase when he was “madly” in love. He said that when he was younger, he was impulsive and he tended to cling more to his emotion without really thinking things through.
“Marami ring consequences na hinarap ko, actually,” JM de Guzman said. Just like him, his leading lady in the movie can also relate to this. Cindy said that she experienced what her character Joy went through.
“Na-experience ko na si Joy sa totoong buhay, yung adik na adik [sa pag-ibig]. Mahirap akong magkagusto pero kapag nagkagusto po ako, sobrang gusto, adik,” the actress said.
Cindy said that back then, it was hard for her to pull herself out of that situation. She was not aware anymore if she hurting the other person or making him happy as she can’t control anymore the things that she was doing.
“Siyempre, may regret po ako doon sa sobrang pagiging adik sa pagmamahal. But I cannot blame myself because that’s how I love. Pero sana, the next time I fall in love again, sana hindi ko na po gawin,” she added.
Cindy also said that too much might be bad and would create a negative effect on the relationship. She also highlighted the importance of having self-love.
The actress also admitted that she went after the guy, just like what her character Joy did in the movie. She was young at that time and it was too painful for her.
