Rowena Guanzon Reacts to the Result of Labor Case filed by Ruffa Gutierrez vs 2 Maids
Former Commission on Election (Comelec) commissioner Rowena Guanzon is thankful after the labor case filed by actress Ruffa Gutierrez against two (2) maids lose.
Atty Guanzon came to Twitter to express her feelings after the two maids who sued Ruffa were successful. According to Atty’s tweet, she expressed gratitude to everyone who assisted the two housemaids from Negros Occidental in winning their lawsuit against the actress.
“Salamat sa lahat na tumulong sa dalawang kasambahay na taga-Negros Occidental lalo na sa mga abogado #p3pwdatyourservice. Kakampi ako ng mga inaapi, ng mga walang kalaban laban. Mga kaibigan, nanalo sa labor case ang dalawang kasambahay laban kay Ruffa G. #p3pwdatyourservice,” she said in her tweet.
Atty Guanzon revealed a friend who lives in the same village as Ruffa reported to her after observing the two maids were evicted by the actress. Atty, on July 7, 2022, use a blind item on her Twitter account to catch Ruffa’s attention.
She said, “My friend has to rescue two household helpers who were thrown out of a first class village by their employers without paying their salaries. Where is your compassion?”
And then the former commissioner named it, “Ms Ruffa Gutierrez is it true?” The actress who was shooting her movie at Viva Films at the time replied, “Hello Ms. Guanzon, No it’s not true. There was a situation at home while I was shooting on the set of ‘Maid In Malacañang’, so my staff had to call security to make sure my children were safe.”
“The 2 new kasambahays who have been in our household for only around 2 weeks were fighting our 68-year old senior mayordoma (who has been under my care for more than 18 years) They were fighting with other colleagues at home when I wasn’t there. They were demanding to leave the house, which I said they were able to do AFTER I returned home from work, so I could talk to them before they left”
“Let me make it clear: I did NOT fire anyone. They wanted to leave on their own accord. I have rarely been home shooting everyday, all day, all night for #MAIDinMALACANANG… I’m always very generous with those I love and those that work for me, so most of our helpers have been with me for 13-35 years. We are FAMILY. Through thick and thin, you are. My lawyers are on top of the situation. Thank you and have a great day,” she added.
