3 Holduppers Jailed After Video Brave Motovlogger Chased Them Goes Viral
Police authorities arrested three (3) holduppers after a brave motovlogger chased them and captured them on video.
Jet Lau, a motorbike rider vlogger, recently released a video in which he chased three alleged holdup suspects. The motovlogger pursued three motorcycle-riding males after they reportedly abused a female student at a mall in Fairview, Quezon City.
“Sabi ko, anong nangyari? Hinoldap daw iyong estudyante. So hinabol ko. Malaking motor iyong dala ko eh, kaya naabutan naman natin kaya lang medyo nahirapan kami sumingit,” said Lau.
According to the TNVS rider, he considered blocking or kicking the three riders’ motorcycles so they couldn’t flee, but changed his mind. He emphasized that he was particularly concerned that they would be injured because they were not wearing helmets.
“Di ko naman puwede gawin kasi wala [silang] helmet. ‘Pag sumemplang din iyon, siyempre inisip ko ‘yung puwedeng mangyari. Baka pwedeng maaksidente, baka mamatay,” he shared.
So he stated that he had his wife videotape it so that the suspects’ faces and license plate numbers could be documented. Fortunately, they encountered police officers while pursuing the suspects.
“Pag liko namin dito nang Zabarte Road, may pulis na naka-HPG na naka-wangwang at naka blinker. Tinawag namin kasi naisip ko kahit maharang ko wala na akong magagwa, may kutsilyo eh,” added Lau.
Lieutenant Colonel Vicente Bumalay Jr., commander of QCPD Station 16, said the video was significant because it revealed the suspects’ faces as well as the plate number of the motorcycle. The three suspects were apprehended this afternoon, and the items they allegedly took were recovered.
