The “promposal” of Andrea Brillantes during Blackpink’s concert at the Philippine Arena last weekend caught the attention of Rose and Liza. She held a placard that said: “I just wanna ask Ricci Rivero, will you go to prom with Andrea?”

“Please go to prom with that girl,” said Rosé while Lisa said when Ricci answered ‘yes’: “Aww, so cute. Congratulations.”

Blackpink’s two-night show last weekend is part of their “Born Pink World Tour”. And because of this, Andrea now got a partner to attend the first-ever Star Magical Prom, organized by ABS-CBN’s talent agency Star Magic, on March 30.

According to the cager, he has no idea what his girlfriend was up to at that moment. He was surprised after reading the banner. He did not know exactly how to react as he did not just receive a “promposal” but it was also noticed by the South Korean superstars.

The move has caught attention online and was criticized by some.

And amid the critical comments, he defended his girlfriend.

He said, “Lahat naman, feel ko, gustong magpapansin sa mga idol nila. E, ganoon din naman ako kung may idol ako. Kung ano yung ginawa ni Blythe, ganoon din ang ginawa ng iba. Malaking bagay para sa fans ang mapansin ng idol nila so that’s exactly what Blythe did. Nag-try siya, e, napansin siya ng idol niya. So, I am really happy for her na naging successful ang plano niya.”

Rivero expressed that he is happy about her successful plan. And for those criticizing Blythe’s move, he believes that it is just okay as the prom is for Star Magic artists, and as it happens, his girlfriend is one of its artists based on a report from PEP.
