Beauty Gonzalez is an art lover
Kapuso actress Beauty Gonzalez would rather spend her money on art pieces than buy designer bags.
It is quite normal for celebrities or wealthy personalities to buy luxury bags and fashion items. Some believed that this is a sort of status symbol while some said that buying luxury items is an investment.
Beauty has a different preference. She chose artwork over designer bags. Based on the article in PEP, the actress does not want to reveal the most expensive artwork she bought.
“Well, that’s the thing you never tell. I don’t kiss and tell,” she said. The actress admitted that her husband Norman Crisologo influenced her. Norman is an art curator and through him, Beauty Gonzalez’s art preference was polished. They share the same vibes when it comes to art but this was not the case initially.
“Ang dami niyang na-bash na mga art pieces ko dati! So, na-polish niya for me which is really good kasi now I really understand what I really like,” the actress shared with a laugh.
Beauty also shared that she wants artworks that are unconventionally beautiful. I want the art piece to be adventurous and that would easily capture her attention. For her, artworks like all flowers are boring. “Ah, okay, I’ll get a wallpaper na lang, di ba? Wala nang efforts,” she quipped.
She also wants artwork that will catch the attention of people who will visit their home. “What’s more important is not what I see, it’s what you see,” the actress added.
Beauty Gonzalez also shared that art is part of her fashion preference. She wore a jacket with embroidered artwork and patches by Liezl Navales when she went to a recent art exhibit and her husband was the one who attached those patches to the jacket.
However, the actress said that her fashion preference does not include designer bags. “I’m not into designer bags… I really like tote bags, I’m a fan of mga museum bags. Even here, yung mga [tote bags] sa Artwork, nakapila na ako doon. I’m gonna buy a lot of T-shirts and bags,” she said.
For her, art pieces are more beautiful because they were thought of. She stressed that bags should be put anywhere and it is a hassle for her to consciously protect them from dirt or anything.
