Liza Soberano Turned Down Ogie Diaz’s Offer After Their Contract Expired

Liza Soberano was determined to pursue a different career path

Actress Liza Soberano turned down the offer from her former manager Ogie Diaz after their contract expired.

Liza’s career in showbiz was first officially managed by Ogie. For more than a decade, she has done a lot of projects under ABS-CBN as she had a contract with Star Magic that co-managed her.

However, for many showbiz fans, Liza seemed to be burning bridges as she talked “negative” things about her former management.

Ogie has answered the issues that Liza raised in her interviews, as well as the things she said in her This Is Me vlog. Actress Aiko Melendez, who is now being managed by Ogie Diaz, shared a vlog talking about the talent manager’s side.

One of the things that Ogie shared was the time when Liza’s contract with him ended. He said that he does not want to have any regrets in the future and so he laid down his offer to the actress.

Ogie asked the actress if she will still sign a contract with him if he will lower his commission to 10 percent. The talent manager previously shared that he was getting 20 percent commission from Liza, contrary to the accusation that he was getting 40 percent.

However, Liza turned down the offer because she was already determined to start a different career path. Ogie said that he did not take that against the actress because he understands her decision.

The talent manager also reminded the actress that showbiz is a small world and he does not expect her to burn bridges with the people she worked with in the past. Ogie Diaz shared that Liza Soberano nod to his reminder.
