Phivolcs Releases Bulletin about the Earthquake Today in Davao Occidental, March 13, 2023
EARTHQUAKE TODAY – The Phivolcs recorded a 4.3 magnitude quake in Davao Occidental today, Monday, March 13, 2023.
Following the 7.3 magnitude earthquake that jolted a part of Davao Occidental a few weeks ago, another strong quake was recorded by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs). The quake hit a part of Davao Occidental. According to the agency, it had a magnitude of 4.3.
The earthquake that struck Davao Occidental, today, Monday, March 13, 2023, at 01:41 p.m. was tectonic in origin. It specifically hit Balut Island in Sarangani.

According to Phivolcs, the earthquake that hit a part of Davao Occidental was located at 2.85°North, 126.50°East – 308 km South 23° East of Balut Island with a depth of focus of 026 kilometers.
Phivolcs stated in its bulletin that damages are not expected from the said quake as well as aftershocks. According to the quake-recording bureau, the said quake is an aftershock of the January 18 quake that hit Davao Occidental offshore. No intensity as well as instrumental intensities were listed by the quake-recoding bureau.
