Wife of Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo Speaks on Husband’s Death
Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo’s wife, Pamplona Mayor Janice Degamo, revealed the happenings prior to her husband’s death.
The death of Negros Oriental Gov. Roel Degamo left countless hearts broken and his constituents alarmed by such striking acts towards the head of the province and several civilians at his home.
The Governor was brought to the hospital but he did not survive the wounds he obtained. At least three (3) people tagged as suspects in the incident are now under the custody of the police authorities.
The wife of Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo revealed that prior to the attack that led to her husband’s death, there were cryptic happenings but they only realized it after the incident. Pamplona Mayor Janice Degamo expressed that a few weeks prior to the incident, her bodyguards noticed a strange man and they tried to get near to him but he walked fast seemingly trying to get away from the bodyguards.
Based on the report, in 2020, it could be recalled that Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo himself expressed that there was a threat to him. During that time, he announced his decision to run for a political position. His wife believes that politics may have something to do with his death.
The wife of the late Governor called to the national government for the justice over the death of her husband which she stressed he did not deserve. According to her, he was serving his people on a Saturday when he was attacked at their residence.
