Sarah Geronimo Celebrates 20th Anniversary of Showbiz Career
SARAH GERONIMO – The Philippines’ Pop Princess gave a message for her parents, Mommy Divine and Daddy Delfin, as she celebrates her 20th anniversary in showbiz.
One of the most successful artists in the Philippine showbiz industry is actress-singer Sarah Geronimo, the country’s Pop Princess. She started her showbiz career as a singer when she joined and won Star for A Night.
The Star for a Night was under Viva Television which aired in IBC 13 from March 31, 2002 until March 1, 2003. She was the grand champion and actor-singer Mark Bautista was the first runner-up. A lot of opportunities opened for the both of them.
The career of Sarah Geronimo did not only covered singing but as well as acting. She starred several hit movies including A Very Special Love, It Takes A Man and a Woman, Finally Found Someone, Maybe This Time, Miss Granny, Unforgettable, and The Breakup Playlist.
Living a celebrity life for two decades, a huge part of the life of Sarah Geronimo is not much of a secret to the public. She is married to actor-singer Matteo Guidicelli but her mother, Mommy Divine, is not in favor of him for her daughter.
In February 2020, Sarah and Matteo officially tied the knot in a secret civil ceremony. However, reportedly found out about it and there was a scene at the wedding of the two (2) celebrities.
This year, Sarah Geronimo is celebrating her 20th anniversary in showbiz. She visited Viva Communications Office in Pasig City and she was surprised by the warm welcome of the employees led by Viva founder and Chief-Executive-Officer (CEO) Boss Vic del Rosario Jr.
Based on an article on Pep, Sarah Geronimo expressed her gratitude to everyone who was with her in her showbiz career journey. Among these are her parents, Mommy Divine and Daddy Delfin.
“Sa aking mga magulang, sa aking Mommy Divine at Daddy Delfin Guwapo, sa aking family, thank you,” the actress-singer said.
Sarah also expressed her gratitude to the Lord for reaching 20 years in showbiz and to everyone who supported her including the Popsters. She also made special mention of her fur babies, Viva family, ABS-CBN family, and her husband, Matteo Guidicelli.
