Herlene “Hipon” Budol Confirms to Join Miss Grand International Pageant
Beauty queen and comedienne Herlene “Hipon” Budol confirmed that she is joining the Miss Grand International pageant.
This was confirmed in the latest episode of “Quick Talk with Boy Abunda,” which aired on Tuesday. The Binibining Pilipinas 2022 1st runner-up and Kapuso actress announced her intention to compete in the Miss Grand International competition.
“Kung ako ang tatanungin Tito Boy, gusto ko ‘yung gusto ng manager ko naman, so, sasali po ako,” Herlene answered directly to Tito Boy’s question if he had any plans to join MGI.
Herlene praised her manager, Wilbert Tolentino, for not only providing her with assistance but also making her aspirations come true. She explained that she was able to afford to build a house, a car, treatment for her grandfather, and even her grandmother’s “burol”.
“Tinupad niya ‘yung mga pangarap ko na magkaroon ng bahay, sasakyan, mapagamot yung lolo ko, pati yung burol ng lola ko, sinagot niya.” she shared.
Herlene added that she will fulfill her manager’s happiness for now. “So ‘yung kaligayahan naman po ni Sir Wilbert ‘yung gagawin ko na which is kaligayahan ko rin po ngayon na mapasaya ko naman siya.”
Tito Boy inquired about the qualities Herlene would offer to MGI. Herlene responded directly, “kapal po ng mukha,” indicating that, aside from being talentless, it is her number one investment in life.
“Kapal po ng mukha. Kasi ayun po talaga yung number one puhunan ko sa buhay eh, Tito Boy. Wala po akong kahit anong talent, kapal lang po ng mukha. Bibihira po ‘yun, ‘yung talent na ‘yun,” she shared in the interview.
Herlene was also a contestant in the Miss International Planet pageant in Uganda. She later withdrew owing to her negative experience in the contest. She has also previously stated that she will no longer compete in any pageants.
