A lot of experts across the globe share the same claim that an earthquake is the natural event that cannot be accurately predicted. They cannot forecast as to when exactly a quake may happen, its epicenter and magnitude, and the other details like its depth. Thus, what most countries do instead is prepare the populace on what to do when it happens and make sure that the buildings most especially the high structures abide by the rules.

Earthquake drills are usually done in schools and buildings most especially in tall infrastructures. However, there were past records wherein quakes shook buildings down and left thousands of deaths.

Recently, Turkey and Syria were hit by a strong quake with a magnitude of 7.8. It brought several buildings down most especially the structures in Turkey.
