PIA WURTZBACH – Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach shared the reason why she decided to cancel her plan to join this year’s London Marathon.

Filipina actress, model, and beauty queen Pia Wurtzbach completed the 42-kilometer New York City Marathon in 2022. It was the “greatest run of her life,” as she describes it.

Jeremy Jauncey, Pia’s soon-to-be husband, supported her throughout the race. The CEO and founder of Beautiful Destinations took videos of her and cheered for her during the marathon.

Pia Wurtzbach then wrote her fiance a touching message of gratitude. She also shared a sweet selfie she and Jeremy took.

In order to prioritize her wedding to fiancé Jeremy Jauncey, Pia postponed her plans to run in this year’s London Marathon. Pia noted that preparing for the marathon while arranging for the wedding would be a “stressful combo.”

On Wednesday, February 27, Pia Wurtzbach updated her Instagram followers on her life and revealed that she has been residing in London in order to give herself a “wellness break.”

“I’m grateful to have this time OFF…alam ko mahirap because lahat tayo (I know it’s hard because) we can’t get off work just like that,” she said. “So I’m here now…focusing on my health, getting in touch with family—namiss ko talaga (I really missed) not just to spend time with them but actually do life with them. I also want to focus on a major life event, as you know, I’m getting married soon!”

“And this also means I had to defer some plans. Unfortunately, I’m not going to be able to join the London Marathon this year,” Pia continued.

Pia Wurtzbach, who signed up for the Marathon to support the charity Smile Train Philippines, said she thought about her decision carefully because she didn’t want to let anyone down. Children with cleft problems receive assistance and free operations from the aforementioned charity.

“I have a tendency to be hard on myself especially when it comes to hitting goals and I know marathon training [plus] wedding planning will be a stressful combo,” the actress stated. “So tough as it may be, I know that deferring my entry this year is the right decision.”

“There will be many more marathons and getting married is something I wanna focus on first and enjoy preparing for the wedding stress free,” she added.

The 33-year-old celebrity asked fans to support her friends who will be running for the same cause in spite of this. She also expressed her best wishes to her supporters and that she will soon be returning to the Philippines.
