Arjo Atayde defended Maine Mendoza from a basher
Actor-politician Arjo Atayde reacted to “suplada” tag being referred to his fiancee Phenomenal Star Maine Mendoza by an OFW in Singapore.
To recall, in January, it was reported that a sales associate in a retail store in Singapore called Maine “suplada” after she allegedly refused to pose for photos. However, a photo surfaced that the Kapuso star was standing beside the sales associate.
With this, Maine called the OFW “bastos” and “makapal ang mukha.” The Eat Bulaga host was defended by her fans.
In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, Arjo Atayd defended Maine Mendoza also. “I feel bad. Obviously, if it’s Maine, I’m affected. She’s my fiancée, I’ll really be affected. But they don’t know her. She really means well to everyone. She’s really such a kind person,” the Quezon City District 1 Representative said.
The actor-politician said that knowing Maine, she didn’t mean anything bad to anyone. having this kind of incident that happened to his fiancee, Arjo stressed that it is just normal that he will get affected also but definitely, he will defend her.
With this, he said that it is automatic that he will be there for Maine, and at the end of the day, he knows her. Arjo Atayde also said they understand that as public figures, they will be judged by other people. “We’ll always be judged. I’m a public servant, I’m judged every day,” he added.
Meanwhile, despite their busy schedules, the couple always enjoys having their vacation together. Arjo shared that they love going to theme parks and adventure rides. “It’s our thing, e, and individually nagkataon na we both like it,” he shared.
