Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo mum on the viral post of someone who claimed to be a sibling of her ex-boyfriend.
RABIYA MATEO – Boy Abunda staff reached out to Rabiya Mateo regarding the viral post but the beauty maintained her silence about it.
For the first time, in an interview, beauty queen-turned-actress Rabiya Mateo divulged the reason behind her breakup with Neil Salvacion. The reason was not due to her winning the Miss Universe Philippines title but because of a conflict that they met when he proposed to her.
In a previous article, she expressed that she was not ready at that time while he was. It caused a conflict and this conflict eventually led to their separation. Following her revelations, someone online who claimed to be a sibling of her ex-boyfriend made a rebuttal of her claims.
Accordingly, she accepted the ring before her international competition but something happened along the way. She made a scene that she needs to own up to.
“You’re lucky na mas gustong manahimik ng kapatid ko kesa patulan ang mga scripted na sagot mo,” the post added.
In an episode of Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, the King of Talk shared that they reached out to Rabiya regarding the issue that transpired following the viral post. However, the beauty-queen-turned-actress refuses to give comments or any reactions.
“Ang ginawa po namin, Nay, Tay, Kapuso, ay we reached out to Rabiya kung mayroon siyang sagot, kung mayroon siyang komento. She decided not to answer. So that’s end of story,” said Abunda.
In the interview, Rabiya reiterated that she and Neil are friends, deeming her ex-boyfriend “mabait siyang tao”. It just did not work out between them because they were not on the same page.
