Proud Mom Posts Son’s ‘Mediocre’ Grades on Social Media

A proud mom goes viral after flexing her son’s ‘mediocre’ grades on social media “Very good ka kasi tumaas grades mo”.

Grades have long been regarded as one of the most important indicators in determining a student’s ability and potential. Many people feel that higher grades indicate that a student is brighter and more capable. Yet, this notion is not necessarily correct, as grades do not always define a student’s abilities.

It is undeniable that kids with outstanding grades have more chances, including admission to famous universities and potential employment at well-paying jobs. But, it is equally critical to understand that success is determined by factors other than grades.

A report card may not always fully reflect a student’s abilities because they also include things like creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and emotional intelligence.

Catherine Santos, a user on Facebook, recently shared photos of her son’s report card for the 2nd quarter along with some pictures of her son. The post quickly went viral, and it received many reactions from netizens.

During the first quarter, Santos was not able to see her son Enzo’s grades. Although unaware of his poor academic performance, she informed him that he improved his grades during the second quarter.

Despite this, the proud mother continued to encourage Enzo to strive for excellence and do his best in school. Additionally, she admitted her fault for not being able to assist Enzo with his lessons.

Hindi ko nakuha report card ni enzo last grading kaya now ko lang nalaman grades nya. Pagdating ko sa bahay ang sabi ko saknya…

“Kuya, very good ka kasi tumaas grades mo”

He is so happy that he present his report card to everybody happily saying…

“tumaas grades ko! ” (without even knowing mababa talaga grades nya)

Keep it up, Kuya! Take your time. Ndi minamadali ang success.

Mama’s fault din ndi kita natututukan. Bawi tau sa mga susunod.

At dahil tumaas ang grades mo may treat ka from Mama. Yan lang kaya ng budget.
