One of the most popular personalities in the Philippine showbiz industry that left a huge mark in the field is the late Comedy King Dolphy or Rodolfo Vera Quizon Sr. in real-life. He top-billed several films and TV shows that hooked a lot of viewers and his legacy in the field.
Dolphy never married. He has several children from different women and some of them have entered the showbiz industry, too. His last relationship which went for more than two (2) decades was with singer Zsa Zsa Padilla.
Dolphy and Zsa Zsa‘s relationship was blessed with a daughter they named Zia and an adopted daughter, Nicole. While many people were inspired with the love that the two celebrities have for each other, it was also not entirely smooth sailing.
Recently, in a vlog interview with Korina Sanchez, Zsa Zsa Padilla revealed that she and Dolphy also went through a lot most especially in the early part of their relationship. She was his crush so they met when he got her invited to a tour with them abroad. They also worked together in several projects until they became a real-life couple.
According to Zsa Zsa, she always knew that the time would come when she and Dolphy would part considering their huge age gap. However, the few years before his death and when he passed away really showed her that it was true love that they had.
His sense of humor really played the role in her falling in love with him. The Divine Diva revealed that they planned their family in the first few years that they were together. They adopted a daughter and they were also blessed with a biological daughter, Zia, and they enjoyed going to Hong Kong instantly when he’s stressed.
