Police Chief Selling Illegal Drugs Arrested in Buy-Bust Ops in Laguna

Authorities arrested a police chief for allegedly selling illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation in Calamba City, Laguna.

A 40-year-old police officer was described as a high-value person. According to the report, two of his colleagues who were listed as street-level individuals were arrested in a buy-bust operation.

The suspects were identified as Staff Sgt. Benhur de Jesa Verdera, 40, of the Liliw, Laguna Municipal Police Station’s warrant section. Kevin John Ballos, 30, and Alejandro Rodriguez Mane, alias “Haji,” 42, were identified as the two other accomplices. They are all residents of this city.

A joint police operative apprehended the suspects in Purok 9, Barangay 1 after they sold suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer. According to the report, six grams of shabu worth P40,800 were recovered from them.

Verdera’s government-issued firearm as well as his Philippine National Police (PNP) identification card were seized. According to officer-on-the-scene Corporal Raymark Basco, the suspects are facing drug-related charges.

Meanwhile, three suspected drug pushers were apprehended on Sunday, February 12, in Tiaong, Quezon, a day after three barangays in the municipality were declared drug-free. The suspects were identified as Tiaong residents Henry de los Reyes, Sharlyn Anglo, and Orlando Ramilo by local police. The suspects were found with suspected shabu worth P176,000 and a gun.

  1. It was revealed by the previous Philippine president Duterte the deep rooted problems of illegal drugs even among the PNP. A strong moral, spiritual subject lessons are necessary in the training camps of the PNP. The hearts is most wicked, who can know it(?). Answer: Only God. Let the standard of Truth (Jesus Christ) enter the schools of those wanting to join the PNP. It will lessen evil.

You’re all God’s servants and you’re putting to shame His name and effectively paving the many curses that await your children n loved ones.
