The Pinay singer Moira dela Torre is set to receive a special polvoron with dates from an OFW fan in exchange for ‘danggit’.
Moira Dela Torre became a trending topic on social media once again after she fulfilled the “Pasabuy” request of a Filipino Overseas Worker (OFW) fan in Qatar. The “Pasabuy” culture is familiar among Filipinos working overseas who want to bring back food items not commonly found in their current country.
The fan, “Boy Ulam Lutong Bahay,” jokingly asked Moira to buy ‘danggit’ for him when she announced her concert in Qatar. The latter claimed that dried goods were not common in Qatar.
To the fan’s surprise, Moira accepted the request and personally delivered the goods during her concert for free.
He even joked if she had brought a “Chicharon” as well. The lucky fan was overjoyed and expressed his gratitude to the ‘hugotera’ singer for her generosity.
“Binyagan ko na to idol Moira Dela Torre, tutal 1am nadin agahan nato! Maraming salamat po talaga! Cravings satisfied,” the supporter said.
In return, he prepared a special polvoron with dates for the Pinay singer. He even posted a video of the preparation process on Facebook.
