PAGASA Says Amihan and Localized Thunderstorms to Affect Country’s Weather Condition
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon will bring rains over some parts of the country.
On Saturday (February 11, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The localized thunderstorms and amihan will still affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA reported that northeast monsoon or amihan will be affecting most of the areas in Luzon.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rains / rainshowers and/or thunderstorms over the entire Visayas and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands.
Amihan will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with light rains over Occidental Mindoro. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience similar weather condition.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over extreme Northern Luzon and the eastern section of the country will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
