Janella Salvador New Short Haircut Wows Netizens
JANELLA SALVADOR – Actress and singer Janella Salvador has switched up her hairstyle – and she looks gorgeous.
Janella looks like she is now ready to move on and let go of her snake-haired persona onscreen after more than a year of portraying the iconic villain Valentina who fights superhero Darna in the primetime fantaserye series Mars Ravelo’s Darna. Janella revealed her new look on social media on February 6th, courtesy of renowned hairstylist Jing Monis.
The 24-year-old celebrity usually wore her dark brown hair straight and down to her shoulders before taking on the dual character of Regina/Valentina on the show. Janella had to adapt her style to a fiercer look complete with blonde highlights when she started playing Valentina in order to have a powerful presence onscreen.
Last February 6, Janella Salvador revealed her shorter locks and new hair color to the world. It came with a caption, “Entering her ginger era or somethin.”

Jane de Leon, Janella’s Darna co-star, was among the first to comment on her new look. She wrote, “That’s mah girl!”
This was followed by remarks from some of Janella’s closest showbiz friends, including Alexa Ilacad, Darren Espanto, Mutya Orquija, Melai Cantiveros, Marlo Mortel, Kiara Takahashi, and Joj and Jai Agpangan.
Janella’s first acting project after giving birth to her son Trevor in October 2020 was Darna. In a previous interview, the actress stated that when she was first offered the part, she felt it was a significant chance for her career.
