CARLA ABELLANA – The Kapuso actress was asked by Bea Alonzo if she will ever get back with her ex-husband, Tom Rodriguez.
The breakup of Kapuso stars Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez is one of the most controversial celebrity splits in the history of the Philippine show business. It was in October 2021 when the then-couple officially tied the knot. After three (3) months, rumors and speculations that they have separated crossed the surface.
Carla and Tom were together for more than five (5) years before they got married. They started as on-screen partners who eventually became real-life lovers. It was amid the pandemic when he proposed to his long-time girlfriend.
The wedding of Tom and Carla was held at San Juan Nepomuceno Parish Church in Batangas. It gathered their families and closest friends including several celebrities.
A few months after the separation rumors first crossed the surface, Tom Rodriguez confirmed that he and Carla Abellana have separated. He was already in abroad then when he confirmed the rumors. Their breakup was surrounded by several allegations.
There were rumors that infidelity on the part of the Kapuso actor was the cause of his seperation with the actress. There were also rumors surrounding his gender preference. All of which were denied by Tom several months after in an interview.
Recently, Carla Abellana appeared in a vlog interview with now fellow Kapuso actress, Bea Alonzo. During the lie detector test for the vlog, the former Kapamilya actress asked Carla if she will ever get back with Tom Rodriguez. Undeniably, some of their fans and supporters are still hoping for a reconciliation between the two (2) celebrities.
“No,” Carla answered which was supported by the result of the lie detector test. Her mother who was with her was relieved by the actress’ answer. Here’s the vlog interview posted on YouTube:
