Sunshine Cruz, Macky Mathay Confirmed To Be No Longer Together
SUNSHINE CRUZ – The Kapuso actress broke her silence on her breakup with San Juan City Councilor Macky Mathay.
The relationship of actress Sunshine Cruz and Macky Mathay was not a secret to the public. Many people most especially their children were very happy about the couple. Both of them have children (3) from their previous relationships.
Sunshine has three (3) daughters with her ex-husband, Cesar Montano, while Macky has two (2) sons and a daughter from his previous relationship. Their relationship paved the way for them to be a one big happy family. They are visibly close to each other’s kids and their children are also close to each other.
Sunshine Cruz and Macky Mathay were both vocal on social media about their love for each other. However, in the later part of 2022, rumors and speculations that the couple have broken up crossed the surface.
Both Sunshine and Macky remained mum amid the rumors and speculations. The two (2) of them not anymore posting photos of them together fueled the speculations.
Recently, Sunshine Cruz appeared on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda. She confirmed her breakup with Macky Mathay and explained why she remained quiet on her split with the San Juan City Councilor.
According to the Kapuso actress, she chose to be quiet on her breakup with Macky because their children are involved. She stressed that he loves her daughters and she loves her children, too.
“Nag decide ako na maging quiet na lang dahil hindi naman talaga alam ng publiko kung ano yung pinagdadaanan namin,” she said.
Sunshine stressed her belief that the public should not be involved on her breakup with Macky. She cited that love, trust, and respect are important in a relationship to grow and it was trust that was lost in her relationship with Macky.
According to Sunshine, she believes in giving chances but there may come a point when you would wake up one day and realize that your relationship is not going anywhere. During the interview, the actress said that, despite the breakup, she is grateful for the years they were together and the love and inspiration they shared to each other.
