Street Kids to Young Woman Who Can’t Give The Amount They Want: “Maganda lang siya pero mahirap”
A young woman has shared the conversation of two street kids about her “Maganda lang siya pero mahirap, tingnan mo lumalakad lang siya.”
A Twitter user named Jaelen Kyla has shared her encounter with two street children asking for alms. The post immediately spread like a wildfire online and garnered various reactions from social media users.
Kyla is walking along the road when she met two young children asking for alms. However, she had no available coins and asked the kids to come with her to a store. The kids kept on flattering her expecting a huge amount in return.
After a few moments, one child asked for P20 while the other kid demanded P30. Unfortunately, the young woman explained that she could not give such an amount of money.
“Habang naglalakad nakasalubong po ako ng dalawang bata tapos humingi ng barya. Wala po kasi ako barya non kaya sabi ko samahan nila akong lumakad sa kapehan para makapagpabarya ako. Habang lumalakad po kami wala po silang ginawa kung hindi bolahin ako tapos dun na po nagrequest ng bente yung isang bata. Sabi ko naman ‘sige lang bibigyan ko kayo tig-bente’ kaso biglang nagsabi po yung isa na trenta yung sa kanya. Dun ko po sinabi na ‘hindi ko na kaya yung 30,” Kyla said.
However, Jaelen heard one of the kids saying “Maganda lang siya pero mahirap”. The lady laughed so hard after hearing them. She gave them some amount of cash and the kids expressed their gratitude for her generosity.
“Kaya po biglang nagsalita yung kasama niya na ‘Ano ka ba! Maganda lang siya pero mahirap lang yan. Tignan mo naglalakad lang siya.’ Hahahaha sabi niya pa po ‘Maka-trenta ka pa.’ Yun po tawa lang po ako nang tawa hanggang dumating kami sa coffee shop at nabigyan ko na sila ng pera. Nag thank you naman po sila kaya masaya lang po ako nung araw na yun. Sana napasaya ko rin po araw nila,” she added.
