According to the report, Acosta said these claimants gave crucial information that contributed to the apprehension of 13 fugitives from justice identified as Most Wanted Persons.

“Granting of monetary rewards to persons (except government employees) who are instrumental to the arrest, surrender or death in legitimate operations of Most Wanted Persons is among the programs of the Philippine National Police for the immediate arrest of wanted persons in the country,” he added.

Acorda advised the public not to be scared to report suspicious people or environmental actions to authorities. The PNP is grateful to everyone who came forward despite their personal dangers and supplied timely information that allowed the most wanted people to be apprehended, he said.
