PAOLO CONTIS – After a long time of silence, Paolo Contis finally confirmed Yen Santos as his girlfriend and this is what he said about the rumors.
The issues and rumors about celebrities Paolo Contis and Yen Santos surfaced over a year ago. The allegations came out at the height of the actor’s split with LJ Reyes. At that time, there were also stories about him going to Baguio with Yen amid the grueling issues.
But the actor remained silent. He insisted back then that going to Baguio with Yen was just an “as a friend” gesture. The actress was even accused as the third party in his past relationship that fueled their split.
And now, after months of speculations, he finally confirmed in an interview with Boy Abunda that he and Yen are officially a couple. He finally admitted it which ultimately ended the rumors, finally.
“Si Yen Santos ba ang girlfriend mo na?” asked Boy. He initially quipped jokingly: “As a friend?” while laughing.
But the host said, “Umayos ka,” and repeated his question which led him to admit it by saying “Yes”.
But by confirming it, he refuted the rumors about his current girlfriend as the reason behind the split between him and LJ.
He explained, “Somehow, medyo matagal na kaming hindi okay ni LJ pero we were together officially. Napapadalas ‘yung away. I think it was a combination of stress sa pandemic and everything.”
The actor-comedian did not completely divulge the reason why he and LJ separated but he hinted that their petty fights that piled up which eventually turned into big problems were one of the reasons.
To recall, Paolo and Yen starred in a 2021 movie. In August 2021, Reyes admitted their breakup and at this same time, LJ moved to New York with her children.
