Kim Chiu received negative reactions due to a recent recognition

The Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) recognized It’s Showtime host Kim Chiu as the Best Female TV Host during the 35th PMPC Star Awards for Television and this did not sit well with some netizens.

From being hailed as the Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Season 1 Big Winner, Kim’s career in showbiz continued to soar high. From her acting stints, she eventually ventured to recording and hosting.

She is now one of the hosts of the Kapamilya noontime show. With this stint, she was recognized by the PMPC as the Best Female TV Host during the awards night on January 28 at the Winford Manila Resort and Casino.

The official Facebook Page of It’s Showtime shared a post congratulating Kim Chiu. The art card also stated, “We are proud of you!” Several netizens congratulated the actress, especially her fans who have been supporting her since day one.

However, not all netizens celebrated with her. There were those who questioned why she won. Some netizens pointed out that Kim’s co-hosts Anne Curtis, Karylle, or Amy Perez are more deserving.
