Anne Jakrajutatip Discusses Why She Thinks Fil-Am R’Bonney Gabriel Deserves Miss Universe Title
ANNE JAKRAJUTATIP – Thai businesswoman Anne Jakrajutatip discussed why she thinks Miss USA R’Bonney Gabriel deserved the Miss Universe title.
Miss Universe Organization’s new owner Anne Jakrajutatip was accused of favoritism and rigging the international pageant for Miss USA R’Bonney Gabriel. The businesswoman said that the delegates were fairly judged based on their individual merits during the contest.
The first runner-up was Venezuelan Amanda Dudamel, while the second runner-up was Andrena Martnez. Philippines’ rep Celeste Cortesi was unable to advance to the Top 16 semifinals on January 14 (Sunday, January 15 in Manila), which were held in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Just recently, Anne Jakrajutatip discussed why she thinks Gabriel deserves the MU title. She also expressed her admiration for the Filipino-American beauty queen.
In an interview with Pinay beauty entrepreneur Olivia Quido, the Thai business tycoon commended Gabriel’s talent and character. She said, “She’s so lovely, she’s very mature. She’s still in her 20s [but] I can see her maturity, responsibility, and also professionalism. As a designer who can do upcycling and sustainability projects, you cannot believe that she can turn something unused into something useful and colorful.”
“I call her like, you’re going to be the most fashionable Miss Universe we ever have,” Anne added.

Anne Jakrajutatip also responded to those who are raising issues with R’Bonney Gabriel’s victory as Miss Universe. “For people who criticize, we should give respect to R’Bonney also. She did such a great job as a young woman who conquered the stage. Why don’t we respect her seeing her performance on stage?” she said.
The businesswoman also described the scoring system that is in place once the competitors reach the top five.
“In the final five they are all equally beautiful. Some of them you might think more beautiful than others, that is your opinion. But you once they are in the final five everything is set zero again and the turning point will be the final question,” she said.
Anne further emphasized how crucial the answer to the last question is in deciding the victor.
“In the final question, she (R’Bonney) used the term ‘transformational leadership.’ She used and also implemented the ‘force for good’ [through her efforts toward] sustainability in her fashion line,” Anne remarked.
