Netizens React to Lolo Arroyo‘s Version of ‘JOPAY’
JOPAY – Lolo Arroyo‘s version of the popular hit song goes viral online and garnered reactions from the netizens.
Over the decades, singing has become popular in Filipino culture and tradition. Any reunion, trip, birthday party, or holiday gathering usually includes a videoke session. If the performer can enjoy the mood and indulge in the song, it doesn’t matter if they aren’t quite as good as international singers.
However, it seems that not all Filipinos have a talent for singing. Why then are some people so good? Given that most families own karaoke machines at home, this is probably the reason why some Filipinos were able to enhance their singing voices.
A few months ago, the song ‘Jopay’ of Mayonnaise becomes one of the most popular songs online. Jopay is also considered one of the iconic songs in any videoke session.
Last week, Marlon Paulino Banaag makes buzz online after making his own rendition of ‘Jopay’. However, his version is slightly out of tune and timing. Numerous netizens imitate his version.
Recently, the Facebook page “Malakas” has shared the video footage of a senior citizen identified as Lolo Arroyo singing Jopay during a videoke session. The video earns reactions online.
In the video, Lolo Arroyo sang the hit song although he don’t know how the song goes and even commits a bunch of mistakes. However, he enjoys his performance although his vocal cords nearly blast.
