Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu Fat Shamed After Final Walk

Harnaaz Sandhu Body Shamed After Final Walk As Miss Universe

MISS UNIVERSE – Indian model, actress, and beauty pageant titleholder Harnaaz Sandhu was fat-shamed after her final walk as Miss Universe.

India’s Harnaaz Sandhu was named Miss Universe 2021. And whenever we refer to someone as a beauty queen, our minds automatically conjure up images of beautiful women with sharp minds.

The Indian beauty queen, however, appeared to have put on a few pounds, which led several people to criticize her due to these physical changes. In a previous article, MU 2018 Catriona Gray spoke about the weight gain of Harnaaz Sandhu.

Catriona Gray said Harnaaz Sandhu must not be limited to her body shape because as a spokesperson, she’s perfectly doing good. She added that Harnaaz does her job as MU titlist very well and it is already enough for her to be celebrated.

The 22-year-old beauty queen continued to be the target of internet bullies up to her final walk as MU 2021. These netizens had been body-shaming her for the whole of last year after she put on weight.

Harnaaz Sandhu stood tall in her dazzling black gown, which included the back train decorated with the images of India’s two past Miss Universe winners, MU 1994 Sushmita Sen and MU 2000 Lara Dutta. She appeared every bit the queen that she is.

Despite tripping, she walked with grace and poise as she tearily reflected on her time as Miss Universe.

“I was 17-years-old when I first took the the stage and since then becoming Miss Universe was my goal. I’ve been given the megaphone on a worldwide stage to present the topic of menstrual equity before world leaders asking them to keep this conversation ongoing,” Harnaaz said in her voiceover.

When Harnaaz visited the Philippines in April of last year, she spoke on the subject and claimed to be “unbothered” by the body-shamers. In a statement, the Miss Universe Organization also denounced Harnaaz’s bullying.

“I just want to tell them ‘look at me, hashtag I’m unbothered.’ It’s not about how you look, it’s about how you feel. Treat yourself how you want to treat you. You are strong, you are unique, you are beautiful. Nobody can be like you and I think it’s the best thing you have. And we are all women of all colors, all shapes, all sizes,” she said.
