He also received a warm welcome of messages from his co-hosts. Anne Curtis expressed that they are happy to have him back. Having Vhong back to the noontime show is an answered prayer for all of them.

But not everyone is happy about Vhong’s return. complainant Deniece Cornejo, in a post, threw shade at the posts of the show teasing the comeback of the host.

The post seems like a “patama” as Vhong’s name rhymes with wrong.

The cases filed by Deniece were connected to the incident that happened in 2014. These cases were already junked but in 2022, the Court of Appeals (CA) ordered the Department of Justice (DOJ) to file charges against him regarding these cases.

CA sighted that DOJ has been erroneous in denying the concerns of the complainant.

He surrendered voluntarily to the authorities and was detained in the NBI detention center, but months after that, he was transferred to jail.

On December 2022, his motion to bail was granted by the court. His case is non-bailable but his motion was granted due to the inconsistencies found in the claims and statements of the complainant.
