Louise delos Reyes is proud to be part of ‘Deleter’
Actress Louise delos Reyes has this reaction to bashers questioning the Best Picture win of their Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2022 entry.
The said movie, directed by Mikhail Red, garnered the most number of awards during the Gabi ng Parangal. Aside from reigning the awards night, the movie also had a big win when it comes to ticket sales.
However, there were those who are asking why a horror movie became the MMFF 2022 Best Picture. Apparently, this question came from the fact that previous winners in this category were drama movies, films with a historical touch, and those who focused on family-oriented themes.
When asked during an interview about the negative reaction to their movie, Louise delos Reyes said, “Kebs,” based on the article in Bandera. This reaction from Louise made her co-stars Nadine Lustre and Jeffrey Hidalgo smile.
“Kebs! Basta kami, proud lang kami sa movie namin at sa ginawa naming lahat. Hindi ko pinapansin ang nega comments at hindi ko rin sasagutin. Sobra lang akong nagulat sa result, overwhelmed,” she further said.
The cast and the people behind Deleter recently held their Thanksgiving party. Reportedly, based on the success of the movie, it is possible that a sequel will be made. In line with this, Louise said, “Paano ako?”
It is because her character in the movie did not have a happy ending. It is possible that she could become a ghost character already or this will depend on the imagination of Direk Mikhail.
Meanwhile, Louise delos Reyes shared that the most difficult scene for her in Deleter was the one they did in the elevator. It was just her and the cameraman who was there, and it was so dark. She accidentally pushed the wrong button and the elevator opened and what they saw was just pitch black.
