Herlene Budol stars in a new Kapuso series
Kapuso actress Herlene Budol introduced her new character in the upcoming series Magandang Dilag.
Herlene officially signed a contract with GMA-7 last year. For her first project as a Kapuso contract star, she will be the leading lady of actor Benjamin Alves in which she had to wear prosthetics.
In a recent Instagram post, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, the beauty queen-actress shared a video with her leading man. She introduced her character in the series. The filming for this project started late last year.
Newbie actor Rob Gomez is also part of the series. Before her first starring role in a series, Herlene Budol did some appearances on GMA such as in the drama anthology Magpakailanman and the romantic-comedy series False Positive.
Herlene started her showbiz journey when she was included in Wowowin as one of Willie Revillame’s co-hosts after being a studio contestant. From being a comedienne, she proved that a transition can be made into a beauty queen status.
Throughout her pageant journey, her manager Wilbert Tolentino has been very supportive of her. Despite having doubters on social media, Herlene, also known as Hipon Girl, has proven that she can achieve her dreams.
Meanwhile, Herlene Budol caught the attention of many netizens just recently because of her comment on Luis Manzano’s photo with his baby Rosie. Just recently, Luis and his wife Jessy Mendiola announced the arrival of their daughter in their lives. Herlene said that she wanted to be a “ninang” but in the gift-giving part, it is Luis and Jessy who will give her holiday gifts.
