Student w/ Unique Name (Drink Water) Goes Viral Online
A male student goes viral and earns reactions online after flexing his unique name online “Living reminder ako for everyone”.
A Facebook user named Drink Water Rivera has shared a photo of his identification card showing his unique name to the online community. The post garnered various reactions from the netizens.
The male student explained his mom has three reasons for giving him a unique name. First, his mother wants a unique name, second, she could not breathe without drinking water while giving birth and lastly, she wanted him to be a living reminder for all.
Rivera loves his name because he is the only one who has that name, which resonates with his personality. A lot of people get amazed and loved his strange yet wonderful name.
“May three reasons daw po kung bakit Drink Water yung name ko sabi ng mommy ko. First is gusto niya maging kakaiba ang pangalan lahat ng magiging anak niya. From Winner, Rice, then pagdating sakin Drink Water. Pangalawang reason po is bago siya maging Drink Water ang daming pangalan na naisip ng mommy pero ang natatandaan ko lang po na kwento niya na dapat pangalan ko is Vladimir. Until naglabor siya. Di daw sya makahinga kapag walang tubig sa katabi niya at kapag hindi nakakainom ng tubig. So dun daw po nagstart yung idea ng Drink Water na name. Dagdag pa po niya na yung surname ng boss ng daddy ko sa ibang bansa that time is Drinkwater na walang space. Last reason po niya is gusto niya maging living reminder ako for everyone to drink water everyday,” Rivera said.
The latter also finds his name as “Cool” eve during recitation. He even received various nicknames from his friends because “Drinkwater” is too long to be pronounced.
Drink’s teacher even give him a nickname “H2O”, the chemical formula for water.
“May binigay po sa akin na nickname yung Grade 8 teacher ko po sa TLE dati. Sa sobrang aliw niya po sa pangalan ko tinatawag niya po ako laging “h2o” chemical formula ng water. Dinala ko po siya hanggang college pero di siya naging consistent dahil medyo mahaba po siyang bigkasin. So nagreresort lang po yung mga friends and professors ko sa Drink,” Rivera added.
