Kylie Padilla shared what she did for the sensitive theme of her new movie
Kapuso actress Kylie Padilla stars in the movie Unravel with Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson and this features a sensitive theme.
Kylie shot her first movie with Gerald in Switzerland. This is also her first time doing a skydiving scene and she was thankful that the production team and her leading man were very supportive.
In the movie, based on the article in PEP, Kylie played the character of Lucy who met Noah, played by Gerald, when the former wanted to do an assisted voluntary death. Noah tries to convince Lucy not to do what she was planning by introducing her to different exciting activities.
“Actually, I was very careful with this project because I didn’t want it to be that we’re romanticizing this subject. It was very sensitive,” Kylie Padilla shared. She also said that when she read the script, she can say that she really felt the character and that was the reason why she accepted the offer.
The actress also said that she felt her journey through the movie. “Kasi we’re watching the movie through her eyes, e. So when you watch it, you’ll see na sana there’s hope for a more positive outlook in life. Ayoko na masyado iano… Basta when you watch it, you’ll understand,” Kylie added.
The also actress also shared that after reading the script her outlook become positive and even though the movie has a sensitive theme, it ended on a positive note. She also thinks that the movie is a starter of conversation about the sensitive topic of many people’s decision to end their own lives. “The only thing we can do is just be nice,” the actor said.
