Is there a conflict between Sofia Pablo and Jillian Ward?
Kapuso actress Sofia Pablo admitted in a recent interview that she and fellow Kapuso star Jillian Ward did not become close friends even though they did a series together.
The two stars of GMA worked together in the series Prima Donnas. That project started airing in August 2019 and the last episode aired in April 2022. In that span of time, there was no friendship that bloomed between the two young actresses.
Previously, netizens’ attention was caught by a social media post that was found under the “Likes” section of Sofia’s Twitter page. She liked a post claiming that Jillian is a bully. The netizen claimed that Sofia was a victim of this.
In a recent interview, based on the article by showbiz writer Gorgy Rula in Pilipino Star Ngayon, Sofia Pablo was asked about Jillian Ward. Sofia said that she and Jillian were not able to connect with each other.
“Kami po kasi ni Jillian ever since, hindi po talaga kami ‘yung nagdya-jibe as in, kumbaga, magkaiba po kami ng interes,” she said. Sofia added that some issued occurred between them but it has long been forgotten.
“So, there are issues. Pero wala na po… matagal na po ‘yun. So, hindi na rin namin siya napapag-usapan. It’s all in the past. So, we’re all happy sa success naming,” she said. Sofia also revealed that she and other cast members are communicating with each other except Jillian.
Despite not being close, Sofia Pablo said that she is happy for Jillian Ward and that the latter was able to help her because of their past series. “And we know that Jillian is a good star, and I’m really proud of her, even hindi kami ganun ka super-duper close na may issues. I’m proud for the both of us,” she added.
Meanwhile, Sofia is currently promoting her Ang Luv Is: Caught in His Arms series with Allen Ansay. This will start airing on January 16 for the GMA Telebabad time slot.
