Journalist Airs Dismay to Teachers Dancing on TikTok

A male journalist has expressed his disappointment and lambasted female teachers dancing on TikTok videos.

Teacher is a personnel working either in private or public schools to teach academic knowledge to students. They were tasked to help students to acquire knowledge, competence, or virtue in order to become a better person in the future.

Teachers also act as the second parents of the students on the school premises. They were expected to look out for and nurture the young students. Educators also help students to be responsible citizens.

Nowadays, there are some young educators who were joining the trend and posting their dance videos on TikTok.

The journalist Audrey Gorriceta gives his opinion regarding videos of some teachers dancing on social media. The personality expressed his disappointment to the educators dancing lasciviously online

Gorriceta said that teachers should make themselves respectful because the teaching profession is not an entertainment platform. He also reminded the educators not to make themselves disrespectful in front of the students.

The news anchor also reminded the teachers that the teaching profession requires decency and that making such dance videos is not appropriate.

“Teacher po kayo, kailangan niyo pa ba ng atensyon?” the journalist asked. “May palabas-labas pa ng dila, may patuwad-tuwad pa, para ano, para mal*b*gan ang mga tao sa inyo, ang mga estudyante niyo?” Gorriceta said.

Some netizens defended the teachers and explained that only the Department of Education (DepEd) has the right to stop them from making dance videos. However, the rest of the internet users agreed with the journalist’s statement.

DepEd has yet to release a statement regarding the issue.
