Indonesian fans of Jane de Leon have this reaction to her series poster
Kapamilya series Darna featuring Jane de Leon started airing in Indonesia on January 10 but some of the fans have worried comments due to this reason.
Jane was the chosen one to play the iconic Pinay superhero character created by Mars Ravelo after the reaudition happened. The role was first intended for Angel Locsin and initially, it was for a movie. Then, Liza Soberano came into the picture but this did not push through as well, so ABS-CBN had to conduct another audition.
Just recently, it was announced that Indonesian fans can now watch the Kapamilya series via ANTV. However, there were negative reactions that were expressed online. It is because the poster shows that the chest area of the Darna costume of Jane de Leon was covered by the logo, based on the article in Balita.
In a Facebook post by Philippine Entertainment, it can be seen that the body of Jane wearing the Darna costume was pixelized. The post included comments from Indonesian fans. Based on the caption of the post, fans in Indonesia were worried that in the series, Jane’s costume will be blurred also.
“Nagwoworry ang maraming Indonesian viewers na nag-aabang sa #Darna ni Jane de Leon dahil baka umano, i-blur ang costume niya kapag ipinalabas na ito sa Indonesian TV. Blurred kasi ang dibdib ni Jane sa mga lumalabas na mga posters ng show,” the FB Page’s caption stated.
Pinoy netizens who commented on this post shared different reactions, there were those who said that Indonesia is a Muslim country and perhaps they are very strict when it comes to these kinds of costumes. On the other hand, there were those who said that apparently, Indonesian fans are just waiting for the revealing costume of Jane de Leon and are not actually interested in the story.
Meanwhile, rumors surfaced that Darna is set to end soon, and allegedly, it will be replaced by Coco Martin’s Batang Quiapo.
