Donnalyn Bartolome is not the “Patron Saint of Labor and Employment”
Vlogger Donnalyn Bartolome is now named “St. Donnalyn” by the online community due to her statement about being sad about going back to work after the holidays.
To recall, Donnalyn shared in her January 3 Facebook post that people should not be sad going back to work but instead, they should be thankful they have the means to earn money for their family.
“Bakit may sad dahil back to work na? Diba dapat masaya ka kasi may chance ka na pagandahin buhay mo at ng pamilya?” the vlogger wrote in her post. This went viral and many netizens slammed her for just pretending to understand the predicaments of the employees.
Although she already apologized for what she posted, this did not stop the online community from attacking her. One writer even wrote in an article about her that she has “Main Character Syndrome.”
Netizens also shared their creativity when it comes to sharing their thoughts on the recent issue about Donnalyn Bartolome. She is not being called the “Patron Saint of Labor and Employment.”
On Monday, January 9, St. Donnalyn trends on Twitter. Netizens talked about their newly-appointed saint. One netizen said that January 3, the day when the vlogger shared her viral post, should be the Feast of St. Donnalyn.
