Dr. Lakandupil Garcia, a retired professor of “Literary Criticism” from De La Salle University-Dasmarias, Cavite, and Far Eastern University (FEU)-Manila, even took to Facebook to express his feelings. Chua’s reaction prompted Garcia’s trending Facebook post.

Ok naman ang criticism pero sorry, ang dating sa akin ay you are missing the whole point of the show and why the show is being watched. And I suspect you are only watching bits and pieces without really following the storyline and the main point of having Klay,” according to Chua’s Facebook post.

Of course, even minor ripples must occur as a result of his actions. According to Chua, this is Maria Clara’s strength. Meanwhile, Dr Garcia clarified that he is not a teleserye critic, but rather expressed his “discomfort” with the way the story is progressing.
