Showtime Host Vhong Navarro Prays for “Kinder 2023”
VHONG NAVARRO – The Showtime host took to social media his New Year greetings to the public and a photo of him with his family.
Following the decision of the Taguig Regional Trial Court (RTC) to allow him to post a bail, Kapamilya actor-TV host Vhong Navarro was able to enjoy the holidays with his family and friends. He posted a bail of P1 million for his temporary liberty.
Vhong is currently in the middle of a legal battle against model Deniece Cornejo. The feud between the two dates back since 2014 – the condominium issue which is one of the biggest controversies involving a showbiz celebrity in the Philippines.
Vhong voluntarily surrendered to the authorities in September 2022. He was detained at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Detention Facility for around two (2) months before he was transferred to Taguig City Jail where he stayed until December.
The camp of Vhong filed for a petition for bail. The hearings were held prior to the transfer of the actor to Taguig City Jail. Several days before Christmas, the actor and his camp received a good news as the Court allowed him to post a bail at P1 million.
After he was released from the Court, Vhong spent his time with his family. His legal counsel confirmed that he has plans to return to Showtime, the ABS-CBN noontime variety show which he is one of the mainstay hosts, but he wants to rest and spend time with his family for the holidays first.
