Heaven Peralejo Shares What She Learned From Doing 'Nanahimik ang Gabi'

Heaven Peralejo showed a different side of her as an actress in this MMFF movie

Actress Heaven Peralejo shared what she learned from doing Nanahimik and Gabi, one of the official Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2022 entries.

In the said movie, Heaven played the character of Me-Ann, the sugar baby of the character played by seasoned actor Ian Veneracion. Heaven showed a different side of her as an actress in this film. Her previous projects were dramas or love stories.

In a video shared on Rein Entertainment’s official Instagram page, the 22-year-old actress shared what she learned from this project. The first one was believing in herself. In this film, Heaven Peralejo worked with veteran actors, Ian Veneracion and Mon Confiado.

With this, she had to bring her A-game as well because it could be intimidating to work with seasoned stars. Without self-confidence and faith that she could bring justice to her role, this would not be a successful one.

In order not to feel intimidated, the actress shared that she had to be prepared by understanding the story and her character. With this kind of attitude, her co-stars helped her bring out the best in her.

Heaven also shared that she learned to be okay with not feeling comfortable because of her character. In this movie, her character needed to do some physically exhausting scenes which she did not do in her previous projects.

“I had to go through my character for days and weeks and i-feel ko talaga na ako si Me-Ann. It’s actually fun,” the actress shared.

Heaven Peralejo also learned that not everything has a guideline. She was able to play with her character as how she wanted it. With this, she was able to offer something new and not the usual. “Now I know myself and my character, I get to play it,” she said.
