TING TING TANG TANG – The real meaning behind the famous Vietnamese dance craze has been revealed.
Over the past few weeks, “Ting Ting Tang Tang” has been one of the most trending TikTok dance challenges in the Philippines. A lot of Filipino people have been using it during dance performances and TikTok videos.
Even Filipino celebrities joined the dance craze as they shared videos of them dancing to this tune. Some personalities including Eruption, Regine Velasquez, Dingdong Dantes, Ogie Alcasid, Regine Velasquez, and Anne Curtis joined the dance craze as well.
However, many of our countries dance to the tune of the viral song without knowing its real meaning. A lot of Filipino might have been asking about the real meaning of the song.
Actually, “Ting Ting Tang Tang” is a remixed version of the Vietnamese pop song “See Tinh”. The song has been originally performed by Vietnamese singer-actress Hoang Thuy Linh.
The word “See Tinh” means See Love. “Tinh Tinh” means “love,” while “Tang Tang” means “love you.” The dance craze is actually a “revenge song.”
Hoang Thuy Linh was involved in a scandal way back in 2007 when she was 19 years old. Linh’s video of an intimate moment with her boyfriend leaked online and stayed away from showbiz due to the controversy.
The Vietnamese celebrity returned to showbiz in 2010 and released new songs last February 2022 including See Tinh. The song became popular among Filipinos nine months after it was released.
