Netizens Criticized the Low-Quality CGI of Superhero Series Darna
The online community has criticized the alleged low-quality computer-generated imagery (CGI) of the superhero series Darna.
The visual effects in some parts of “Mars Ravelo’s Darna The TV Series” are claimed to have disappointed netizens and viewers. Based on the said scene, Darna is claimed to be flying and being chomped by a big snake with sharp fangs teeth from behind Valentina in this scenario.
The entertainment website “Fashion Police” compiled a list of tweets from viewers who were dissatisfied with the show’s CGI. Netizens even compared it to the special effects utilized in GMA Network shows.
Netizens’ dissatisfaction with Darna and Valentina’s candor can also be observed in the comment section of the ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube channel. Netizens wonder why, in 2022, the show’s graphic effects appear to be going backward.
On the other side, other internet users defended the action-fantasy series, which features stunning scenes with crisp and outstanding CGI. The narrative and the actors’ acting are also claimed to be restored. Meanwhile, neither JRB Creative Production nor ABS-CBN has issued a response, reaction, or statement on the matter.
