Student Died After Tricycle He Was Riding Going to Christmas Party Hit by Truck
A student who was supposed to enjoy his last day in school and Christmas party died after the tricycle he was riding was hit by a truck.
In Mabini, Batangas, a five-year-old girl on her way to the school’s Christmas celebration was killed when a truck collided with the tricycle she and her mother were riding. According to the report, the deceased victim’s name was Shen-Kyria Venice de Castro.
The mother of the victim, who was riding the tricycle back when it was hit by the vehicle, can be seen falling from the tricycle in the CCTV camera shot in Barangay Barangay Pulong Niogan. According to Mabini Police Station Chief Police Major Mickglo Marinas, the truck operated by Edgardo Otlang lost its brakes and collided with the two tricycles.
The reason for the child’s death, according to the death certificate shared by the victim’s family, was substantial blood loss. When the tragedy occurred, the mother and daughter were on their way to a school Christmas party, bearing gifts for their classmates and friends, based on the report.
Otlang, who is being held at the police station, said that he could no longer dodge the victims’ tricycle. When he apologized to the victim’s relatives, Otlang sobbed. Otlang is in the same situation.
Meanwhile, a 16-year-old Grade 10 student from EB Magalona in Negros Occidental was killed when he was hit by a speeding truck.
The students can be seen crossing the road in the pedestrian lane, and a traffic enforcer stops vehicles on the road. Despite the fact that it was a school zone and a traffic enforcer was present, the trailer truck accelerated and collided with the Grade 10 kid, based on the report.
The victim, identified as Kevin Liscano, 15, of EB Magalona, attended the Christmas Party after graduating from EB Magalona National High School. Meanwhile, the trailer truck’s driver is Dante Sebugero, a 40-year-old Fabrica Sagay, Sagay City resident.

I think the enforcers should also be penalized for neglegence of duties.
Here in DAVAO city, Some private schools hire more enforcers not only to look after the students but also to monitor the flow of traffic.
