A funeral procession is a route taken from a funeral home or place of worship to a cemetery or crematorium, typically by car or on foot. In the past, male family members would often carry the deceased to the last burial site on a bier or in a coffin.

Most funeral processions are observed in a solemn manner during the grievance of family and relatives of the dead. A lot of people played solemn and tear-jerking music during funerals.

However, there are some individuals requesting jolly or upbeat music during a funeral procession. Some people make such requests to avoid heartbreaking scenes during burial.

Recently, the Facebook page “GMA Regional TV News” shared video footage of a jolly funeral procession featuring cha-cha music being played in the background. The video garnered various reactions from the online community.

In the video, it can be seen that the people who attended a funeral procession are dancing to the beat of cha-cha music being played. The relatives and the barangay officials of Tinaan Sur also joined the procession.

The deceased individual identified as Adelina Cabarles is a former Punong Barangay of Barangay Tinaan Sur. She asked her son Arlie to play cha-cha music during her funeral and not to grieve when she passed away.
