Carmi Martin encountered this kind of incident on the set
Seasoned actress Carmi Martin shared what she did to a younger star who came late to the set several times.
Carmi has already done many TV shows and movies and she was able to work with different artists in the entertainment industry. Just like other seasoned stars, she also had an undesirable experience with a younger artist.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Manila Bulletin, Carmi recalled that years ago, she worked with a younger star who would always come late to the set of a Kapamilya series. There was a point when the seasoned actress decided to reprimand the said younger star.
Carmi Martin said that the latecomer did not even apologize and greeted the senior stars. and with that, she scolded that younger star. “Isang araw, na-award ko. Sabi ko, ‘ang tagal-tagal mo kanina ka pa namin inaantay,” she shared.
The younger star even reasoned out to Carmi. “Then sinabi niya na kasi raw dapat yung road manager dapat daw nag-report or ganito raw dapat. Tapos magka-eksena kami parang hindi ko siya tinarayan. We’re just being professional sa set,” the seasoned actress revealed.
When Carmi was asked if the said celebrity is still popular now, she answered, “Hindi na masyado.”
Then, the seasoned actress highlighted the importance of being professional and being on time. She said that the lost time could not be turned back again and she also cited the value of “pakikisama.”
“Tama nga yung sinabi ni direk na dumating ka on time, alam mo ang dialogue mo, and role mo. Wala akong pakialam kung ano ang paglabas mo sa shooting. Pero mas maganda siyempre kung magaling kang makisama,” the seasoned actress stressed.
Carmi Martin is part of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2022 movie My Teacher featuring Joey de Leon and Toni Gonzaga. It is directed by Paul Soriano.
