MMDA Chief Bong Nebrija Sermon Traffic Enforcer Accused of Extortion
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chief Edison Bong Nebrija scolded the traffic enforcer who was accused of extortion.
Nebrija went to the precinct and scolded his personnel after allegedly being caught extorting P300 from a truck driver in Quezon City. According to the previous report, police detained MMDA enforcer Raul Lapore after receiving a complaint from truck drivers who were driving across Commonwealth Avenue.
Lapore reportedly approaches cars that are not in the truck lane and demands P300. The enforcer, however, refuted the accusation made against him. Lapore has been working for the government for 25 years, it was discovered.
Despite Lapore’s denial, he was questioned about the fraud charge due to the bubble gum he had used to disguise the motorcycle’s body number. Nebrija claims that his thieves’ guys conceal the motorcycle’s body number in order to avoid being easily recognized by the complainants.
Based on the report of GMA News, Lapore allegedly has a history of vandalism, therefore it was taken off the road and put in the office. Lapore reportedly spent just two months in Nebrija’s crew.
“Hindi kayo agrabyado sa suweldo, hindi kayo agrabyado sa benepisyo, kotong pa kayo nang kotong. Ayaw niyo pang tigilan,” Nebrija told Lapore face to face.
“hindi ka ba nahihiya sa ginawa mo?,” the official added. “Rason ka nang rason na malinis ka, na wala kang ginagawang masama, ano ngayon? Ikaw lang ang dumungis sa unit namin, ikaw lang!”
