Ramon Tulfo Recalls Sara Duterte Punching Sheriff After Sending Letter to John Amores

Veteran journalist Ramon Tulfo recalled the punching incident of Vice President Sara Duterte after sending a letter to John Amores.

Recently, former Jose Rizal University (JRU) player John Amores could not hide his joy after he received a letter from the Office of the Vice President (OVP) of VP Sara Duterte. According to his post, the vice president sends him a word of encouragement after his raging issue.

“It’s my pleasure receiving this kind of gesture from our Dearly VP Sarah Duterte “Remember the lesson, not the mistake, You have a friend from the Office of the Vice President. It was a great honor Mam thank you for those words of encouragement,” said Amores in his post.

“Ps. Ipapa frame ko to as a remembrance na sa dami ng bashers at negative critics may isang tao na ipapaalala sayo na Mahalaga ka kahit di mo kaano ano. I wont lose hope, somewhere in between in the darkest season of my life there’s still a light,” he added.

Some of Amores’ friends also expressed their reactions to the basketball player who was expelled from his team and is currently facing cases as a result of his actions.

Meanwhile, Tulfo commented on the Manila Bulletin report about the aforementioned letter. When VP Sara Duterte was still the mayor of Davao City, he remembered the punching incident there. The incident on which the journalist bases his claim is Duterte’s 2011 punching of a court sheriff.

“With that letter, Vice President and DepEd Secretary Sara Duterte is espousing violence in sports. “Well, remember what she did to that court sheriff years ago,” said Tulfo.

However, neither the Vice Presidential Office nor Duterte himself has responded to Tulfo’s statement. Amores is presently having counseling, and it will be decided in the next months whether he can start playing basketball once more. He promised after the punching incident to improve.

  1. It was a punch of authority by the mayor for not having done what was supposed to be done by the sheriff.
Amores, in his amuk-like run punching opponent players
was a question of uncontrolled temper, unsportsman-like behavior.
In my personal view of the situation,
I cant equate the first situation described above to the situation described later below. Hence, it would have been better if it were not brought out.
This is my opinion only. Need no reaction, pls.
