Kylie Padilla reunites with her fellow “Encantadia” stars
Kapuso actresses Kylie Padilla, Sanya Lopez, and Gabbi Garcia will reunite in the upcoming Mega Serye of the Kapuso network.
The three stars of GMA-7 worked together in the 2016 retelling-sequel of the 2005 hit fantasy show, Encantadia. They portrayed the sanggres in the said fantasy series with Glaiza de Castro.
The sanggres were first portrayed by Karylle, Iza Calzado, Diana Zubiri, and Sunshine Dizon. These four female celebrities have maintained their friendship over the years.
Next year, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Kylie, Sanya, and Gabbi will work together again. In a social media post, their home network shared their photo with this caption: “LOOK: The star-studded cast of GMA’s upcoming MEGA SERYE this 2023!”
Zoren Legaspi, Rochelle Pangilinan, Michelle Dee, Arra San Agustin, Kristoffer Martin, and Vin Abrenica are also included in the cast. However, the Kapuso network has not revealed yet the title of the said project that will feature the three sanggres.
Previously, Kapuso fans have speculated that the Mega Serye is the Urduja series. This is based on the legend of the pre-Spanish colonial era warrior princess believed to hail from Pangasinan.
Some cast members of the said TV project have shared their training. Kylie Padilla and Vin Abrenica, the brother of her estranged husband Aljur Abrenica, had a video showing their intense choreographed fight. Vin lauded Kylie’s moves when they did the fight scene.
In an Instagram post, Zoren also shared a video showing his training. “I’m not required to train BUT as an Actor I required myself to train for the upcoming Action Adventure Prime Time Teleserye in @gmanetwork,” he wrote in the caption of his post.
