The court found Paulate guilty of forging a Job Order/Contract of Service in a 130-page decision dated November 25. The politician-actor advocated for the hiring of 30 people with contracts for employees who received pay from July to December 2010 despite the fact that their personal data records were rife with errors.

For the graft charge and each count of the falsification offense, the comedian received sentences of up to eight years in prison and six years in prison, respectively. In addition to serving time in jail, Paulate was also sentenced to pay a total of P90,000 in fines for the offense of falsification and be permanently barred from holding public office.

The charges he is facing include:

  • job order employees have no records of birth;
  • none of the job order employees have requested for a National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) clearance;
  • the job order employees could not be located at their given residences;
  • the job order employees were not registered voters of their respective barangays; and
  • the job order employees have no record in the schools where they allegedly attended

Based on the report, Roderick has a lifetime ban on holding elective office as a result of his conviction for graft. Along with his chauffeur and liaison officer, Vicente Bajamunde, Paulate was found guilty of graft. Bajamunde was exonerated in the falsification cases despite this.

Paulate, who is well-known for her roles in films like “Petrang Kabayo” and the midday program “Magandang Tanghali Bayan,” requested bail for the aforementioned charges in 2018. “Kuya D1ck” was granted a 90-day suspension by the Department of the Interior and Local Government while the matter was still pending, and he even played the mayor in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” that year.
